2.8.4 The “Move Special - Mirror” tool in Tekla Structures
The "Move Special- Mirror" creates a completely different object,
despite the "Move Special-Rotate", as right and left hands are
never the same.
To get a mirrored object, it is necessary to first of all define

Create a plate with the dimensions as it is shown below:

The algorithm for executing the “Move Special- Mirror” operations:
Make sure all operations are canceled or press the Esc key.
Use the Ctrl +P key combination to go to the view plane.
Make sure that the Z-axis is perpendicular to the eye gaze direction.
Select the object to be moved.
Enable the “Move Special - Mirror” tool.
By a left-click, select the first point of the symmetry axis.
By a left-click, select the second point of the symmetry axis.
Press the “Move” button.
To disable the “Move Special - Mirror” tool, press the Esc
key.

Thus we got a new mirrored object.
A repeated pressing of the “Move” button each time creates
a new-handed object.

As a summary, let’s note that the “ Move Special- Mirror”
It is like an open book, with a picture on its page and the picture’s
imprint at the other page, where the binding is the symmetry axis, but
the work plane is the plane the book lays at.
We will get back to the work plane topic in the following chapters, meanwhile,
keep in mind that the work plane is to be arranged in the way the Z-axis
is perpendicular to the eye gaze direction.
