The “Move Linear” tool allows shifting objects of various
types at a definite distance along the axes X, Y, Z. Let’s examine
this tool in detail.

Option 1
-setting up the coordinates by the mouse cursor during “Move-Linear”
operation
Make sure all operations are canceled or press the Esc key.
Use the Ctrl +P key combination to go to the view plane.
Select the objects to be moved.
Enable the “Move Linear” tool.
Indicate the first( initial) point.
Indicate the second point or set the moving direction by the mouse cursor
and type in the distance value from the keyboard.
Press the “Move” button.
To disable the “Move Linear” tool, press the Esc key.

Note that at the “Move-Linear” dialog window you can introduce
the offset value into the respective axes fields. The value can be both
positive and negative. You can move the object along the axes, in various
directions, and each time you can check yourself referring to the right
bottom corner of the view symbol.

Thus the coordinates got inserted into the “Move-Linear” menu.
The field values are not necessarily whole numbers, as they depend on the
shifting angle.

If the shifting angle has to be of a definite value, proceed to the below
To test this method out, first of all, create a beam with an inclination
Make sure all operations are canceled or press the Esc key.
Use the Ctrl+P key combination to go to the view plane.
Activate the Orthogonal regime.
Select the “Beam” tool.
Indicate the first(starting) point of the beam.
Set the beam direction by the mouse cursor.
Type in the beam length value from the keyboard and indicate the symbol
“<” followed by the angle value of 45 grades.
Press the “Ok” button.
To disable the “Beam” tool, press the Esc key.

TS automatically calculates coordinates by the axes X and Y.
Pressing the “Move” button shifts the object at 1000mm into
the direction required.

bases on typing in the offset values from the keyboard into
the “Move-Linear” dialog window, without using the mouse cursor.
It works similarly to the 1st option, as we ignore the mouse cursor and
directly type in the required coordinates.
Let’s move the column at 500 mm by the X-axis. Enable the “Move-Linear”
tool. Type the value of 500 mm into the X-axis field, leaving the other
field values equal to 0. Make sure that the object (column) is selected
and press the “Move” button.
